Step-by-Step Performance Guide

1. 1. Display the Coin Openly — Hold a regular coin between thumb and index finger of your right hand at chest height. Make sure your audience clearly sees it from both sides — let them lean in.
2. 2. The Pretend Pass — Raise your left hand, palm open. Pretend to drop the coin from your right hand into your left fist. The eyes of the audience should follow the coin to the left hand.
3. 3. Close the Empty Fist — Close your left fist tightly as if the coin is now trapped inside. Pause for a beat — this is the moment of suspense.
